Color Wonk Spring Bundle (2024)
Intermediate Artistic Coloring
This trio of Color Wonk projects originally ran as livestreams in February, March, and April 2024.
All were broadcast live and unscripted to subscribers of the Color Wonk intermediate community.
This is a different style of presentation than the normal Marker Painting Workshops. Amy speaks live and off-the-cuff, so this is a more conversational and less formal feeling class. Includes a student Q&A session at the close.
Join Amy Shulke, professional illustrator and art instructor for intermediate, casual coloring.
Color Wonk projects are fun but they'll also make you think a little deeper about the coloring process.
Because good coloring happens between your ears -- it's not about your hands.
Improve your coloring by improving how you think about color.
Copic Markers. Prismacolor Colored Pencils. Minimal Supply lists. Maximum Impact.
COLOR WONK LESSONS ARE NON-SEQUENTIAL
Don't feel intimidated if these are your first Color Wonk lessons! I scramble the lesson materials so that everyone is always new to every lesson.
We repeat similar concepts using fresh projects with a new approach -- this provides a reliable practice routine leading to a well rounded education no matter which project you begin with.
You can do Color Wonk projects in any order. There's always something new to learn or practice again.
It's not about techniques.
Techniques CAN NOT create realistic depth or dimension.
Techniques are how to apply the ink or pigment-- techniques are about your hand-- swishing, flicking, dotting, etc.
Techniques don't teach you where to put the color. Techniques also don't explain why to put it there.
It's the brain parts you're missing.
Month by month, we'll figure it out. But first, it's gotta be fun!
Color Wonk is an intermediate level artistic coloring community
This trio of projects allows you to sample the Color Wonk experience without the subscription.
Color Wonks play it zen. Zero pressure. Zilch in the intimidation department.
We're learning and we're growing but we're not dyin' to do it all today.
